Matt Damon recently made a tour in India to probe the issue of the lack of access to drinking water for local communities.

As described by the international organization UNICEF, only one in four people in India have access to drinking water, which poses an unprecedented threat to its population as well as many other nations. CNN sat down with the famous actor to discuss about his most recent experience on Indian soil, citing among other things an acquaintance he had with a very inspiring little girl.

Matt Damon and his colleague Gary White are the co-founders of the non-profit Water.org, which promotes micro-financing to provide basic sanitary facilities and technical resources for better access to clean water.
